Star Date: blah, blah, and blah

Madison Madhouse is currently on hiatus. I don’t know whether we will start it up at a later date. Sad because we had a great time doing them and I’m sure they were enjoyable to all of you out there. For the time being I am going to be blogging a lot more and once I get a intrawebs connection on my confuser I will upload the last few MMH episodes. I will be busy the rest of this summer into fall and possibly longer. I am heading out onto the road with with friends band doing a little bit of everything. They are called Black Veil Brides check them out. The lead guitarist Jake was involved in the Minneapolis music scene years ago and that is how I know them. Other than that I will be doing a youtube blog from the road and hopefully we will post them up on here. If it doesn’t work out check it out on youtube (obviously) under juicetimethegreat yeah I know awesome name. I’m really excited to get going and working again. Plus on the road and not in a shitty cubicle is a major plus.

Well This may be a little late but thank you government for passing universal healthcare. This just means that when I get into my golden years it is easier to get Viagra. How can THAT be a bad thing? Thank your government for encouraging you to get boners

THIS is what really is going on:

This blog is dedicated to a friend of mine (I won’t say his name out of respect for him) who has a controlling partner. I hope he gets help. His fiancé reads his emails, has his phone number transferred to hers now apparently, and got upset because my sister and I called him on his birthday, and told us he didn’t want anything to do with us. The friend we knew would never have been mad because of a birthday call. We’ve had a nice, respectful friendship with him for years, and often called each other on holidays or birthdays to wish each other well. It was casual and respectful. So this is disturbing. Especially since he is engaged to her. Umm…yeah, good luck with that. I can understand the communication with some friends tapering off over the course of a relationship, but to be prevented completely by a third party is ridiculous. Especially, if the friendship is healthy, harmless/non-threatening.
So, this is dedicated to you, friend, that I am truly concerned about:

We’ve all been through rough times in our lives. We might have lost a job, a relationship, our sense of well-being for whatever reason. Or, we may be going through drastic changes, such as just graduating from college, getting out of the army, getting married, etc. During these times of transition (whether good or bad) we may start to feel a little unsettled. It is human nature. But some of us have experienced or will experience having a wolf in sheep’s clothing come into our lives just at this moment. And some of us might welcome them with open arms because our self-esteem or sense of self is shakier.

Please pass this message on if you know someone who might be in this position.

I got an email and he doesn’t want his image up here without us paying him. So we respectfully decided to remove it.

This “music should be free” movement is really stupid. It’s really just a justification for people to not feel bad about stealing from musicians.

Sure you can have my music for free if: you find free professional equipment including the accessories needed, free rehearsal space that includes all the utilities, an engineer who is paid, or is also ‘doing it only because (s)he loves it’, a free place to record it (meaning a real studio with sound dampening rooms that are separated and wired up correctly, free recording equipment, free tape (I want real tape), free distribution and physical cd’s if needed and finally free coffee for the engineer (100% needed, and they drink A LOT of coffee).

If you meet those small, meager demands, you sir, may have a free copy of the music that we took hours and hours of our lives to write, practice and record because we love to do it.

Oh, and the T-Shirt you want for free too because you’ll “wear it and therefore give us promo”, EAT IT! If you want a free shirt, go MAKE ONE! If you love our band and want to promote us get a friggin’ sharpie and an old pit-stained shirt and write our name on it with “IS AWESOME” underneath mmmmkay? Here’s a hint, WE PAY FOR THOSE TOO! The $1.50 profit we make on each shirt will help to pay for some gas to get to the gig so we can play!

Not to mention, (excluding good benefits) we will NOT play for free for the exposure only to be asked to give away t-shirts, music and every other product we can produce.

Hey, free promo items are stickers and buttons. End of story.

Three other other awesome people and myself have our joint birthday show is coming up be there or be a Bears fan.

I guess the story goes that the girl whos list this is told on her underage brother that he had beer in his room…..payback is a bitch! Moral of the story ignore your family.
